Oldham isn't famed for it's vast array of Architectural practices. The practices that do exist in the area often focus on small one off residential and just are not on the radar of mainstream Architectural professionals.
Consequently the commute into Manchester is a daily grind most Oldhamers working in Architecture face routinely.
There is though a young practice slowly making it's presence felt across the M60, and it's based in Oldham!
The senior people have backgrounds in the AJ100, so their clients, projects and practice feel are akin to any of the trendier Manchester practices.
They're still small and this is good news for you. Your reward for becoming member of staff number 4 is that you get progression. I always say that the best Technicians come from small or medium practices, this is because they HAVE to do more, HAVE to progress and learn quicker because that is what small businesses require.
Revit or AutoCAD are used on a daily basis, experience of either / or is ideal.
