What percentage of job satisfaction comes from

A-the work you do/the projects you're on?

B-the people you work with/for, the office environment, feeling valued?

The winning combination seems to be a practice big enough to ensure you’ll be working great, high quality design projects but with an office small enough that you’re going to get a real involvement in the projects you work on.

How about a practice with 4 offices, the Manchester office made up of 10-15 people? Working a nice selection of residential, education, commercial, even some conservation in there. They have a specialised team looking after sustainability and environmental issues. You’ll get stuck in, not just left in a corner churning out drawings, losing the will to live.
