A year or two of Revit Experience will put a minimum of £5000 a year on your expected salary when looking for a new job.
As a Technologist your level of Technical knowledge and experience on a range of building types is primary when dictating the kind of job, salary and progression you can aim for in a new job. Marginally less important is Revit experience.
Do not underestimate what a couple of years worth of live Revit experience in practice can do for you. But how do you get that vital Revit experience? How do you get to work on collaborative BIM projects? Have you been sitting around waiting for your current practice to implement and 'train you up'? If it feels like it is never going to happen, then I have that very rare solution for you.
This Liverpool based practice are after a good level of Technical experience and are keen not just to train you up on the software, but to put you from day one, on Revit in a collaborative BIM environment. How many times a year do I get an opportunity like this? Two, maybe three times.
If you're a Technologist with an ever growing technical skillset, but have never had BIM / Revit experience and feel like you're lacking in that one annoying area, do not hesitate to get in touch.
You will be working on High Density Residential, Apartments and High End Super Homes.
