There seems to be a battle for those non-Revit users out there. As the technical side of Architecture changes, everyone is wanting live Revit experience and that training course you paid for doesn't seem to matter, a lot of practices expect everyone they bring in to have experience of using Revit (which I can understand) but its very rare you find a practice who are willing to train anyone on Revit. Occasionally we come across a practice that will train people in Revit but only if they take a massive hit on their salary (which I once again understand the logic behind) which for anyone with any financial commitments is unfeasible.
Well great news because I am currently working with a Leeds based practice who are happy to provide full Revit training and don’t expect you to take a huge cut in your salary in fact they don’t expect you to take a cut in salary at all, they may even improve on what you are currently earning offering £30k-£35k depending on your experience.
The practice are looking for a Mid-level Tech who they can develop into a Senior Tech over time, you will get the chance to work in a number of sectors including; healthcare, retail, residential and leisure. You will be working with senior staff from inception to completion of both new-build and refurbishment projects and will have a good technical understanding of what to put a building together.
