It's safe to say that there are probably only a handful of Architectural practices around the world that get a similar level of attention or exposure as this one.
They have a BIM Manager in place. They have a progression plan, the Assistant BIM Manager will step into this individuals shoes one day.
You are there to support the application and use of BIM and the appropriate software (Revit) on a day to day basis. You will help the project teams with the following tasks:
Technological and practical support.
Expand and assist in the management of libraries.
Promote best practice.
Develop and assist in implementing technical workflows.
You don't need to be the finished article when it comes to understanding and experience of BIM itself. Good experience of Revit and a decent overall knowledge of BIM and it's principles are a good start.
You will need a desire to eventually ditch the technical work you may do today and focus your future career on BIM Management, Coordination and Strategy.
