Avoiding that monster commute to Liverpool or Manchester from your undoubtedly attractive base in Cheshire is next to impossible. Want a big practice? Want BIG projects? Want variety? You probably think Manchester is the best bet.
This practice might not be for everyone. They are a startup, there are five of them. They still do big projects and very attractive ones within Commercial / Industrial, Care Homes, Health and Residential (inc Masterplanning).
If you want to spend the next few years grinding out an hour and a half commute whilst grinding out your path to become post Part III then good luck to you, but this will offer a better life style.
If you think you'll get your Part III and beyond quicker at an AJ100 or other large regional in a big city then you're wrong. Small start ups are the best place to do this, they NEED you to work on every stage on every project, they NEED you to get more involved and they probably NEED you to progress and learn very quickly in order to strengthen their own capabilities for selfish reasons.
You'll get to work on nearly every project that comes into the office. It's not going to be easy... you will come out having done more though, in a shorter timescale and will probably be able to call yourself and Architect in much less time than you AJ100 colleagues.
No silly requirements for Software, AutoCAD knowledge is fine.
If you're ready to get going on the next step of your journey, if you're ready to gear up for your Part III then get in touch with Matt at Aspirant Careers.
