Do you look forward to a lunch time finish on a Friday, your birthday off in addition to a generous holiday allowance, away days and events to reward you hard work? Small things, but it shows an organisation that cares about retaining it's hard working staff members.
How about your day to day job being as good as it can possibly be too? What Architect doesn't dream of doing pretty sketches every day? All day?
You'll have to work with Senior Management taking briefs too. But in large part, your job is stage 0 - 2 (sometimes 3) on large, significant public sector projects.
Yes, you get to do what an Architect was MEANT to do. You won't be too involved in delivering a long, boring 4 year scheme that kills you inside by the bitter end, instead, you get to focus on design.
You'll continuously develop a practice design style within the companies public sector teams. Project to project you will work on taking the brief, you will liaise with all interested parties, hand sketch and develop each and every project from the very start.
Design and creativity will be your only focus.
You can get involved in the latter part of a project, you can make sure your ideas aren't watered down and oversee developments, but if it's not a design focussed part of the project you won't get involved in the nitty gritty.
Projects will range within the public sector with a heavy Healthcare focus. The practice is though known for it's attractive £10m - £70m new build Healthcare schemes UK wide.
If this just sounds like you, doing your favourite thing and getting paid for it, then you need to get in touch with Sarah at Aspirant who can tell you more.
